The Phil Mitchell’s Walford return will kick-start a major storyline involving the entire Square.
Steve McFadden has returned to filming duties at EastEnders just in time for the massive summer storyline to begin.
The actor who plays Phil Mitchell in the BBC soap has been taking a break from the show after being at the forefront of storylines for more than a year, but now his return is set to be packed full of drama.
Actress Tilly Keeper, who plays Steve’s on-screen daughter Louise, teased: “”It’s a very big storyline between all of us. We can’t say too much, but expect big drama.”
The break gave Phil a chance to recover from his life-saving liver transplant after jetting off to Italy.
He flew to sunnier climes with Sharon , but while his wife returned to Walford last month, Phil was nowhere to be seen.
Soap boss Sean O’Connor previously revealed Phil will make a sensational return to the BBC show later this month – with a VERY different attitude.
He told the Metro: “Phil returns in a moment of crisis for the Mitchells. But he is a changed Phil from the exhausted lion that left the square.”
