A whiff of scandal is once again surrounding the final six singers selected for Judges’ Houses on the X Factor.
The cry of “fix” went up when Chloe Jasmine initially lost her spot on one of Cheryl’s six chairs, only to lose it later on in last night’s show.
Once Cheryl had selected her final six, she suddenly had a change of heart and swapped out Irish songbird Orla Keogh; the audience showed their dislike of the situation with vocal jeers and booing.
Of course, a lady is allowed to change her mind, but what upset the audience so much and led to the cries of “fix” was the fact that the producers had a chat with Cheryl and Simon Cowell was also seen letting Cheryl know that in his opinion Chloe Jasmine should make the final six.
What was broadcast, however, was Cheryl appearing to have a genuine change of heart, a crisis of confidence that caused to to say aloud: “I’ve made a mistake. I’ve made such a big mistake. I want to bring Chloe back.”
It is thought that the X Factor producers feel that Chloe Jasmine will make for good television and want to see her go through to the live shows. When Cheryl made her decision to swap Chloe back in and swap out Orla Keogh she was subjected to such booing and jeering that she said she feared she would be “lynched” by the audience.
