X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger is not happy. The former Pussycat Doll had a major meltdown on set of the ITV singing competition this week, where she dramatically quit the set. Nicole, 39, is one of the four judges this series, returning alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.
However, the starlet became overwhelmed during the controversial Six Chair Challenge section of the competition. On Thursday night, tensions reached an all-time high in the Wembley SSE Arena, causing Nicole to storm off stage on the brink of tears. The audience – and producers – were completely shocked by Nicole’s move, and were unsure if the bombshell would return.
Nicole had to whittle down the Overs category down from 20 to just six, and was repeatedly booed by the crowd who kicked off over her decisions. An insider told The Sun: “Nicole left the set upset as the situation was so intense and it all got too much for her … Nicole left the set upset as the situation was so intense and it all got too much for her.”
