A woman was found dead and a teenager critically injured after a ‘blood-drenched dog’ was spotted running from a house in a quiet suburb.
Emergency services flooded Penilee Road, Ralston, after 5pm yesterday amid reports of two people injured and police have launched a murder inquiry.
Police and paramedics raced to a house after a distressed animal was seen fleeing the property.
People living nearby said multiple police cars and ambulances rushed to the scene on Penilee Road, Paisley, Renfrewshire, the Daily Record reports.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Last night at 5pm police received a report of two people being injured on Penilee Road Paisley.
“Emergency services attended and a 52-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 16-year-old male has been taken to hospital where medics describe his condition as critical.
“Police are treating the incidents as murder and attempted murder and enquiries are ongoing.”
