A one-year-old baby and a young woman are fighting for their lives after a horror crash involving a coach carrying schoolchildren.Police say the 23-year-old and the infant were airlifted to different hospitals with life-threatening injuries following the crash in Devon.
Emergency services were called to Braymill Cross on the B3227 near South Molton at about 3.45pm on Wednesday after the crash between a Citroen car and the coach. The woman was flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth while the baby was taken by air ambulance to Bristol Hospital.
Police said on Thursday morning that the woman remained in hospital with life-changing injuries and the baby was in a stable condition. The driver of the coach and the schoolchildren on board were uninjured.
