Two teenagers have been stabbed outside a college in Manchester city centre. Paramedics rushed the 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy to hospital with serious injuries after they were attacked outside The Manchester College on Chorlton Street.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 11.15am. Both the victims were students at the college. Shocked eye-witnesses said violence erupted during a ‘row over a girl’ during a morning break.
Ellie Ducker, 17, who studies drama at the college said: “I didn’t see what happened but most of the aftermath. Everyone was screaming and shouting one guy was stabbed in chest and blood was coming down he said he needed an ambulance. It was over a girl. Everyone was just on the floor trying to help. Everyone was just dead shocked.”
A knife was recovered from the scene and forensic detectives are investigating; the campus remains closed.
