TV presenter Ben Fogle and his wife Marina have been left “devastated” after she suffered a tragic late miscarriage at 32 weeks of pregnancy.
The couple have two children, Ludo and Iona, aged 4 and 3 but have suffered pregnancy heartache before, when they lost their first pregnancy at 12 weeks. Their subsequent baby, Ludo, had a dramatic entry into the world, being born by emergency Caesarean section and spending three days in hospital with a collapsed lung.
Following the loss of their baby this week, a spokeswoman for the Fogles said: “Tragically Marina and Ben Fogle have lost their precious baby at 32 weeks gestation. Marina is still in hospital. They are obviously devastated and would appreciate their privacy at this terrible time. They thank you for your understanding.”
As well as Ben’s TV fame, he has made several exciting expeditions, including rowing across the Atlantic and racing to the South Pole with James Cracknell, the Olympic gold medal-winning rower.
