A young man on a lads’ holiday was beaten to death in just 30 seconds while outside a bar.  Student Bakari Henderson, 22, was reportedly embroiled in a heated discussion with customers and two bar workers after asking to take a photo of a waitress.

CCTV from outside the bar on the Greek island of Zakynthos shows him sprinting away from the bar. The American, from Austin, Texas, is then rugby tackled into a parked car by a group of about 10 to 15 men who surround him, kicking and punching him.  After a few seconds they run for it and someone can be seen performing mouth-to-mouth on Bakari’s crumpled body.

Greek police spokesman Theodore Chronopoulos told the Washington Post that the young man was beaten to death in just 30 seconds. “They kicked and punched him to his body and his head,” he said. “His death came from hits in his head.” Eight men – including six Serbians and a British bouncer of Serbian origin – have been arrested and charged with murder.
