A doctor and aspiring singer has died in a car crash before he was due to appear on America’s Got Talent. Brandon Rogers was scheduled for a July episode of the US talent show.
US sources report that the 29-year-old was involved in a traffic accident in Maryland on Saturday 10 June – and died a day later. America’s Got Talent producers are yet to make a decision on whether his audition for the show would be broadcast, but it has been reported that his family are keen for his appearance to be broadcast.
Brandon became known in December 2016 when his cover of a Boy II Men song went viral. He performed with the R&B group in April after the video was shown to them. Boyz II Men have paid tribute. “It hurts to know that the world will never have a chance to witness his impact,” they wrote. “A great spirit and a great voice. Even for the little time we knew you, you will be sorely missed.”
