A baby boy who was left seriously injured after an incident in a quiet Swindon street has died as a result of his injuries. The three-month-old infant was hurt in Thresher Drive area of the town last week.
Wiltshire Police were called to an address on March 25 and the baby was taken to Great Western Hospital before being transferred to Bristol Royal Infirmary. Sadly he has now died of the injuries suffered.
Police said: “A 50-year-old local man remains on bail after being arrested in connection with the incident. Police are continuing with their enquiries.” At the time of the incident, officers said they were “working to ascertain how the baby sustained his injuries”.
