Thousands of people are visiting the incredible poppy installation every day at the capital’s Tower of London and a new Facebook page designed with the aim of collating everyone’s amazing pictures and memories is going viral.

In just a couple of days, thousands of visitors have uploading their moving photographs and selfies taken at the Tower.  The shots range from babes in arms to elderly veterans and from Beefeaters to tourists.

The installation is entitled “Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red” and was created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins to makr the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.  Using a setting by stage designer Tom Piper, 888,246 ceramic poppies will progressively fill the Tower’s famous moat.

People are uploading their selfies from right outside the amazing artwork, while others are using photographic effects to enhance details and making their own work of art.
