Toddler Sustains Head Injuries During Pub Brawl

Police have asked for witnesses after a pub brawl left an eighteen month-old boy and his father injured.

The victims were at the Yew Tree Inn in Chalvington, East Sussex, celebrating a family party. A fight broke out and during the brawl a man fell on the toddler causing him to sustain head and cheek injuries that needed hospital treatment.

The boy’s father, who is from Sevenoaks in Kent, remonstrated with the brawlers about their treatment of his son and he was was then kicked to the ground and kicked. He suffered facial bruising from the attack.

The brawl occurred at about 7.30pm on the evening of 26th July. Police want to trace two suspects. The first suspect is described as a slightly overweight white man with unkempt ginger hair who was about 5′ 10″ or 5′ 11″. He was unshaven and wearing a white or cream t-shirt and shorts.

The second suspect is described as a white man with short brown hair; he is slim and 5′ 8″ or 5′ 9″ and also wearing a white t-shirt and shorts.
