A 15-year-old has been knifed to death with a samurai sword in the street in south London, in the capital’s second fatal stabbing in 24 hours. A group of balaclava clad youths attacked Jermaine Goupall in Thornton Heath in Croydon as he walked home from the cinema with a friend.
His friend hid behind a car as the thugs repeatedly stabbed him with a sword. Paramedics rushed to the scene in Thornton Heath but were unable to save the youngster who was pronounced dead shortly before midnight. The Georgia Road area was cordoned off this afternoon as police officers combed the scene.
There have been no arrests yet. His devastated family said Jermaine was “adored by his friends and family”. At the family home his dad Stanley, an electrical engineer, 50, said: “Jermaine was a lovely person and adored by the community and his friends and family. “Nobody had nothing bad to say about him, he had a good heart and was such a lovely boy.
