The summer sun is back after rain battered parts of the UK on Tuesday and it’s set to stay until the weekend. Hot weather returned today with highs in the low 20s after torrential downpours saw Brits taking shelter under umbrellas yesterday.
Across the country people looked delighted to feel the mercury rise again today, diving into the sea and reclining on deck chairs to soak up the sun’s rays. London saw the best of the day’s weather as temperatures reached 22C, with most regions seeing the mercury hit the high teens.
Into Thursday Met Office forecasters predict the mercury will rise again reaching 23-24C with sunny spells. Into the weekend forecasters are Brits can break out their BBQs and bask in sunshine with temperatures expected to reach 24-25C.
