A would-be attacker was left bruised and beaten after he picked on the wrong victim.
The man attempted to grab the 14 year-old schoolgirl as she walked home through Tilgate Park in Crawley. However, what the assailant did not know was that his intended victim had studied martial arts for several years and was not prepared to go quietly.
Despite being more than 20 years younger than her 35 year-old attacker, the teenage schoolgirl was able to break out of his hold and punch and kick him after he grabbed her arms from behind.
The attempted assault happened in Tilgate Park in Crawly, Sussex on Saturday morning and the man is described as approximately 5ft 7in tall and of a thin build. Shortly after the attack, Sussex Police arrested the attacker and are urging any witnesses to contact them:
“Although we have made an arrest, we need to speak to anyone who was in Tilgate Park on Saturday morning and saw what happened. We need to find people who may have seen a man acting suspiciously in or around the park on Saturday or on other occasions.”
