A woman who had suffered a traumatic rape ordeal was forced to undergo a second horrific experience when the passer-by she begged for help chillingly told her: “I’m going to do the same thing to you.”
The 31 year-old victim was walking home from an evening out at a bar called “One Last Shag” when she was brutally attacked by 17 year-old Nicholas Isaac, a court heard. According to the prosecution, Isaac grasped her in a bear hug, threw her to the ground and threatened to shoot her. After the assault, which occurred in New York at about 5am on the morning of 31st August, it is alleged that Isaac fled the scene with the victim’s bag.
After the terrifying assault, the “dazed” victim managed to get about 500 yards further down the street and that was when she was Daquan Jackson, 20.
The prosecution told the court that the victim asked him for help, only to receive the shocking reply: “I’m going to do the same thing to you.”
The court heard that Jackson threatened to shoot her and although no weapon was seen, the victim feared for her life if she did not comply. The police suspect that the men were working together and both Isaac and Jackson have been charged with robbery, criminal sex act, unlawful imprisonment, assault and criminal possession.
However, Mr Jackson’s legal representative told the court in Brooklyn that his client was the victim of mistaken identity and that the victim’s testimony about being raped twice in less than an hour was a “delusional fantasy.”
