Her Majesty The Queen has visited victims of the bombing at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital where medics have battled to save the lives of children injured in the terror attack.
She spoke to victims – whom staff tirelessly worked to help through the night – in the immediate aftermath of the bombing.
Twelve children under the age of 16 – among the 64 casualties – were taken to the hospital by ambulance after Monday night’s explosion. The Queen condemned the atrocity as a “wicked” attack. She told victim Evie Mills, 14, (pictured) and her parents: “It’s dreadful. Very wicked. To target that sort of thing.”
