Sick fantasists are trying to dig up the dead body of Princess Diana, her brother has sensationally revealed. Charles, the ninth Earl Spencer, said there have been four attempts to break-in to her grave at their family estate.
The break-ins, at Althorp, Northamptonshire, have been attempted in the last 20 years since Diana’s death in a horror car crash in 1997. The shock revelation comes amid bizarre claims Diana’s body is not buried at Althorp, and was secretly moved to a village church crypt. In a BBC Radio 4 Today interview, Earl Spencer, 53, revealed the break-in attempts. He said in this morning’s radio interview: “It seemed natural to want to bury her here [at Althorp]. I wanted to keep her safe.
“If you remember that time around her funeral, there was such a whipped up feeling of emotion everywhere that I was very worried about where we could safely bury her. We’ve had four attempted break-ins towards her body in the last 20 years, and I’m very glad that we’ve seen all of them off. There are some odd people out there and keeping her right here is the safest place.”
