Police say they are concerned for the welfare of a three-year-old girl who has gone missing with her parents. Peggie Happer was last seen with her mother, Lisa Douglas, 33, last Tuesday and both are believed to be with James Happer, 44, the girl’s father.

Detectives say they are concerned about Peggie because her parents “are believed to be involved with drugs”. She went missing from the Jaywick and Clacton area in Essex, and police say they fear she is not receiving appropriate care.

Detective Inspector Greg Wood, of Essex Police , said: “The lifestyle Peggie’s parents lead is what causes me concern for her welfare. Both are believed to be involved with drugs and that’s not an environment a child should be exposed to.”
