Police Investigate “Attempted Abduction” At Two Primary Schools – Parents Told To Collect Children

Parents are being told to collect their children from school after an ‘attempted snatching’ near two Cardiff primary schools today. Police taped off a block of flats and teachers told parents to come and collect their children after a black jeep with tinted windows was seen driving past schools.

The incident happened near two primary schools in the Welsh capital, Pentrebane Primary School and the Welsh-speaking Coed-Y-Gof school. Mother-of-two Danielle Smith, 21, went to collect her four-year-old daughter from class. She said: “I was at the school when the police all arrived and ran into the school it was terrifying … There’s no way my daughter is going tomorrow. I’m not letting her out of my sight.”

A spokesman said: ‘We are aware of reports of a possible abduction. We are investigating an incident which happened in the Lavender Grove area of Pentrebane at 11.19am today. We are keen to identify the driver of a black coloured jeep type vehicle with tinted windows.”
