A huge emergency response was sparked in the early hours of Saturday morning after reports of a disturbance in Glasgow. Police, fire crews and an ambulance raced to the scene on Wyndford Road in the city’s Maryhill area around 4.25am.
Officers were spotted congregating at the bottom of a set of flats and two fire engines blocked Wyndford Road while firefighters spoke with police officers. Now Police Scotland have confirmed that a 35-year-old man has been arrested.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 4.25am this morning, Saturday 1 April 2017, police were called to a disturbance on the fifth floor of a block of flats in Wyndford Rd, Maryhill, Glasgow. A 35 year old man has been arrested and is detained in police custody in connection with the incident which concluded at 8.10am with his arrest.”
