Police are hunting a gunman after a fatal shooting at a bar.  One of the injured is a 39-year-old man, who is in a critical condition. Police have ruled out terrorism as a motive and are instead focusing on locating the gunman.

The shooting took place at a bar in the town of Vilanova i la Geltru, around 50 miles south of Barcelona in Spain. As well as the one fatality, one person was hurt by the attacker during the incident at around 2pm local time (1pm BST).

A police spokesperson has warned the gunman is still active. Specialty officers have been deployed to the scene. The victim was identified as being a 59-year-old man.  A nearby police officer was also injured by what is thought to be his own weapon.
