A British tourist has been killed and nine others injured after their bus crashed on a Caribbean island. The tourists were on an excursion from the Azura cruise ship when their bus crashed.
The travellers were enjoying an excursion on the island of Dominica from their P&O cruise ship, Azura, when their tour bus was involved in a crash with a car. Police confirmed one tourist was killed in the horror smash and nine others were badly injured. P&O said all of the passengers were British.
A statement from P&O, said: “A bus operated by a shore excursion provider was involved in a collision in Dominica on Wednesday lunchtime. The bus was carrying 12 passengers, including 10 guests from Azura. The cause of the accident is not yet known.
“One passenger has sadly died of their injuries. Another 9 passengers were injured and treated at a local hospital, with the majority now discharged. The names of the guests involved in the incident have not been released. “
