A woman was shot dead by gunmen armed with sub-machine guns who murdered one other after firing through the window of a home. The attackers came into a Dublin back garden at around 4pm yesterday before opening fire at the window.
Antoinette Corbally, a mum-of-six in her 40s, and her friend Clint Sheridan, aged in his 30s, were killed in the shooting while the woman holding the baby is in a critical condition. Two other people were caught up in the tragedy – their condition is also unknown. Mr Sheridan was shot through the neck, heart and hand.
Local media report that the victim with the baby was an innocent relative of the intended target – reportedly Derek “Bottler” Devoy, 37. He was previously described as the “number one gangland target in Ireland”.
