Mum “Banned From Buying Her Council House” After Doing THIS To The Inside

A disabled mum has been left heartbroken after she was banned from buying her council house – after she had a stair lift and wet room fitted. Lupus sufferer Elaine Snook’s devastated family were reportedly told the modifications, which are aimed at making her life easier, meant she could no longer buy her home of 37 years.

The 62-year-old, who suffers from a string of other health problems, lives with son Daniel, 38, who wanted to buy the three-bedroom home in Halesowen. Dudley Council would not discuss the individual case but the right-to-buy policy did not extend to properties with “specialist adaptations”.

The family are now fuming over the “bizarre” judgement because they say the wet room and stair lift were fitted because Elaine’s health has deteriorated. Daughter Amanda blasted: “As a family we have lived in the home for 37 years so when the opportunity arose for us to buy it we decided to go for it. I don’t live at home anymore but Daniel does. He works hard and wants to buy the home so it can be kept in the family.”
