McDonald’s On LOCKDOWN After Explosive Device Discovered

A McDonald’s restaurant has been evacuated after a suspect gas bomb was found.

The branch in Kreuzberg, Wrangelstrabe, Berlin was on lockdown this morning after a gas bottle was found on site. Officers scrambled to the scene and experts probed the device which was believed to be sitting on a table in the outside seating area.

Police quickly confirmed to German newspaper Bild: “It is in the opinion of our state protection apparently a gas bottle with ignition device”; they added that the object was “secured by forensic technicians”. Police raced to the scene when suspicions were raised at around and placed the area on lockdown.
