Who is the mystery man walking across the surface of the Moon? A video showing an image captured by NASA seems to show the figure of a man in a crater on the Moon.

Is this really a man on the Moon or a trick of the eye?

Is this really a man on the Moon or a trick of the eye?

The video on YouTube has already been viewed more than 5 million times and was created by user Wowforreel after he was alerted to the image by another NASA image enthusiast Jasenko. The co-ordinates given mean that the figure can been seen on Google Moon at 27°34’26.35″N 19°36’4.75″W.

In an interview with UFO Sighting Daily, Wowforeel said the image is genuine: “An irregularly shaped dark spot [Jasenko] noticed on Google Moon looks like it could be a cast shadow from a massive standing object, or figure. At first I thought maybe it was something drawn into the picture but after going to Google Moon, whatever it is or isn’t…uh, is there.”

‘It is really there, not faked and I have no clue what it is. I found nothing else like it in any of the other craters.”

The NASA space agency has yet to comment on the strange image, but other experts are putting it down to pareidolia, which is humans’ tendency to see faces and other images in random stimuli.
