A court has heard how 20 year-old Pedro Bravo fell out with his roommate over a disagreement over an ex-girlfriend in 2012.  Bravo first kidnapped his friend before strangling him. After the killing, he asked his iPhone for advice on dealing with the dead body: “I need to hide my roommate.”

Siri, the digital assistant who offers advice on a range of topics, answered: “What kind of place are you looking for?” and offered Bravo several options: swamps, reservoirs, metal foundries and dumps.

Testifying at Bravo’s murder trial, police detective Matt Goeckel gave evidence that Siri had been consulted. He also gave evidence that the torch on Bravo’s iPhone had been used nince times that day for total period longer than 48 minutes.

The court also heard that the GPS locations recorded on Bravo’s iPhone do match up to the locations he claimed he was at those times. He denies murder and the trial continues.
