A horrific crash that has left a woman fighting for her life has caused traffic mayhem on the M25 – with reports of lengthy queues and huge tailbacks for miles.
A woman in her 30s has been airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries after her silver Kia Sportage collided with a lorry on the M25 today. The road was shut between junction 29 and junction 30 near Romford, east London, at around 2pm while emergency crews dealt with the incident.
Delays on the road were further compounded after a caravan overturned on the motorway between junction 26 and 27 at around 1pm. Severe traffic delays are still causing chaos on the road with rush-hour commuters facing massive tailbacks of 12 miles due to congestion.
