A toddler was snatched away from her mother by a stranger on the streets of Leeds before being rescued by a hero stranger.
The attempted abduction of the two-year-old girl took place at 4.29pm in Tunstall Road, Beeston police told the Yorkshire Evening Post. A woman, 23, is in police custody as police praise the “public spirited actions of the man who intervened”.
Detective Inspector Charlotte Hails, of Leeds District CID, said: “This was clearly a very distressing incident for the little girl and her mother. We obviously have an active investigation with a suspect in custody so are limited in what we can say but we would like to recognise the public-spirited actions of the man who intervened.”
