Police have described the incident in which a little girl died after being hit by a bus as “extremely distressing.”
Mayah Shazad died after she was hit by at bus on Friday afternoon in Luton in Bedfordshire. Paramedics worked desperately on the little three year-old, but her injuries were so severe, her life could not be saved.
Police questioned the driver and closed the road on which the accident occurred until 8pm yesterday evening, to allow forensic teams to carry out their investigations. The police also issued a statement saying that the accident happened “very busy time in a very busy area.”
After Friday’s accident, which happened at 3.45pm, social media was flooded with tributes to the “little angel,” as people rushed to pay their condolences after the “heartbreaking trauma,” sending “love and support” to the family and to “the bus driver having to also deal with the trauma.”
