Les Dennis has been spotted filming what look like his final ever Coronation Street scenes and they look epic. The actor, who has played charming house burglar Michael Rodwell since 2014, announced back in summer that he would be quitting the cobbles and now we might know how. In the pictures from on location his character can be seen returning back to his burglar career when he breaks into the flat developments.
But it seems like it’s with good intentions as he tries to expose Phelan and Vinnie’s scam. However, as he runs away, he’s chased by guard dogs and is thought to suffer a heart attack. However a source has revealed it gets more complicated.
The source told the Daily Mirror: “Les was gutted when he found out Michael was being killed off. He took it like a man but obviously had hoped he’d be able to come back. Michael is going to confront Pat about the flat scam and get clobbered with a crowbar for his troubles.”Michael is just one out of six characters set to leave the show this year as a “huge explosion” will tear through Weatherfield and claim the life of at least one well-loved resident. A source said: “This is going to be up there with some of the best scenes in Corrie history. Characters are going to be crawling through flames to escape, and there’s talk of killing at least one character.”
