Despite battling with crippling morning sickness, the Duchess of Cambridge was well enough to welcome the president of Singapore on an official visit to the UK.
The Duchess looked radiant in a grey Alexander McQueen coat with a smart Jane Taylor hat; her brunette hair was tamed into an elegant pony tail. This visit marked the Duchess’s first appearance in public since her second pregnancy was announced.
Catherine joined Prince William in welcoming President Tony Tan and his wife Mary to our shores and the Duke and Duchess received the president and his wife at the Royal Garden Hotel, which is not far from their home at Kensington Palace.
William and Kate then accompanied the President and Mrs Tan down Horse Guards Parade for a ceremonial welcome presided over by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. After the welcome had been conducted, Prince William stayed on for a private lunch with his grandmother.
