Hottest Weather Since Last September Set To Scorch UK THIS WEEK At Temperatures Soar To 27°C

This week Britain will be basking in sunshine as temperatures are set to rocket. The Met Office is predicting temperatures to rise throughout the week ahead of a positively roasting Bank Holiday Weekend.  On Saturday temperatures will hit 27°C in London meaning football fans heading to Wembley for the FA Cup Final will need to remember their sun cream as it could be the hottest day of the year.

The Met Office week long weather forecast said: ‘High pressure will bring mostly dry weather across the UK through the start of this period with some warm perhaps even very warm sunshine developing, although some showery rain is possible at times in the far north. The generally dry and warm spell should last into the start of the Bank Holiday Weekend.’

Alex Burkill, Met Office forecaster, said: “Monday is looking like a pretty good day across much of the country, with a good deal of sunshine. We could see highs of 25°C in London, the East Midlands and East Anglia, which will get the best of the weather … If we reach 26°C then we will have the hottest day of the year so far, but it is Friday which is shaping up to see temperatures peaking. We are looking at the high 20s – possibly 27°C – with warm air coming up from the south. It’s going to feel pretty good.”
