More details have emerged about an alleged murder of a teenage cyclist, stabbed to death in London in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 17-year-old was chased by a gang of men wearing balaclavas and armed with what looked like machetes or large knives, witnesses said.

He tried to escape on his bike, but was ‘stabbed multiple times and left to die’ on the bonnet of a car in a housing estate in Battersea. Neighbours were woken by the teen screaming ‘Help me, I’m dying,’ the Evening Standard reported.

Emergency services were called to Ingrave Street at 1.25am and the boy was taken to hospital, but pronounced dead shortly before 3am. Police launched a murder investigation. Nobody has yet been arrested. He is the fourth teenager to be murdered in London in this month alone, and the eighth in 2017.
