The little girl was knocked down and killed by a car in the car park of a branch of Asda in Wembley in North-East London.
The toddler was standing with her mother at approximately 8.40pm on Thursday. The emergency services were quickly on the scene and tried to save the life of the little girl; she was taken to hospital, but died later that evening. One witness said: “I saw the paramedics attending the small child, who was lying on the ground wrapped in blankets. Her mother was hysterical and crying. The father had to be calmed by police.”
