“Help! Help!” – Kings Cross Station EVACUATED In “Emergency”

A major London tube station has been evacuated this evening over reports of a fire under a train. King’s Cross was evacuated due to a fire alert inside the Tube station.

Many people took to Twitter to say they could smell burning and had heard there was a fire under a train. One user also said: “Heard a man shouting “help! Help!” @ kings cross station picadilly line. Station was evacuated and shut.”

A Transport for London spokesman confirmed “London Fire Brigade are attending a fire alert”. The incident, which happened at 6.45pm, caused severe delays on the London Underground’s Piccadilly line.
