Heartbreaking tributes have poured in for a one-year-old girl who died in a horror collision. The little girl, named locally as Darcey, died after being ‘struck by a Renault Kangoo van’ on Friday, police said. A multitude of floral tributes and cuddly toys have been left outside her house in Scunthorpe since news of the tragedy spread.
One read: “Rest in peace beautiful Darcey. All our love.” Social media users have also taken to Facebook to offer their condolences. Catherine Collins said: “So sad and so close to home I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this all weekend thoughts are with the family it make us realise how precious life is squeeze ur loved ones just that little bit harder fly high beautiful angel.”
Mandy Wilson said: “I saw the emergency services there and was wondering how she was. Can’t believe it – such a terrible loss of a young child. RIP little one. My heart goes out to all concerned x.” Gemma Louise Swift said: “Can not begin to imagine how the family is feeling. My heart has literally ached for the all of them since i found out. No words can describe how sorry I am to the family for such a tragic loss. Fly high beautiful little girl xxx.”
