EastEnders ‘ Ronnie Mitchell has never had it easy, and marrying her ex-husband Jack Branning again is not going to be bring her a fairytale ending, but one of nightmares.Ronnie, who is played by Samantha Womack, is set to be killed off in a dramatic episode that will see her die trying to save her sister Roxy, played by Rita Simons, according to The Sun.
In the explosive BBC One soap episode that will air in the New Year, Ronnie will be seen on her wedding day saying ‘I do’ to Jack , played by Scott Maslen, for the second time but it will all go horribly wrong and the girls will meet a grisly end. At the reception, the green-eyed monster gets the better of Roxy, who has previously had a relationship with Jack, and she gets drunk and it kicks off.
The boozed-up Roxy ends up falling into a swimming pool and drowns and is discovered by her protective sister. Without thinking, Ronnie reportedly try to save her sister but then struggles and drowns from the weight of her wedding dress.
“It’s a slightly ridiculous way to go,” an insider told the newspaper. “It must be the first time in soap history anyone has been killed by an item of their clothing.
