Gogglebox bosses are reportedly worried that more of its stars will rise to fame like Scarlett Moffatt did. Channel 4 executives are said to be so afraid of losing cast members that they’ve banned them from contacting each other and from attending glitzy showbiz parties.
The reality show, which features ‘normal’ families watching TV, launched Scarlett, as well as other fan favourites Steph and Dom Parker into the spotlight. County Durham lass Scarlett appeared on the show alongside her mum and dad before being snapped up to go to the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle. She won and went on to land a hosting spot alongside Geordie duo Ant and Dec on their hit show, Saturday Night Takeaway.
Now it’s being reported that Gogglebox’s Sandra and Sandi, the Michael family, Leon and June, and Stephen and Christopher, have been banned from messaging each other and arranging meet-ups. They’ve supposedly also been warned away from attending showbiz parties and put on a strict curfew. It’s also said that their new contracts include a clause meaning they can’t take on any other work.
