It might be feeling Autumnal with chilly rain showers and leaves cascading from the trees, but Britain is set to bask in an Indian Summer.
Don’t back away those BBQs and Summer frocks just yet, forecasters are predicting a FIVE-Day warm spell is on the way and the mercury is set to rocket.
The UK will be warm and sunny and for once the good weather will continue through the weekend.
Friday is set to experience above-average temperatures of up to 21°C and those balmy temperatures mean that Britain will be hotter than Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Expert forecaster for the Met Office, Calum MacColl, said: “Highs are forecast to be around 20°C in the South and the upper teens in the North-East – with nights not falling below 13-14°C. It will be into Tuesday before the rain clears – and the Atlantic will knock on the door again on Thursday with strong winds pushing across the whole country.”
