Several people found dead in an apartment “full of blood” in Copenhagen are ‘believed to be from the same family’. Police have described the “terrible” scenes a ‘routine patrol’ sent to the scene came across this morning in the Brønshøj district of the Danish capital.
Deputy police inspector and head of investigations Ove Larsen told local news channel BT : “We got a report (of an incident) at around 7.35am and sent a routine patrol. Then we found people killed in the apartment. It was a terrible sight that greeted our patrol.” He explained: “It’s probably a family killing that has occurred in the apartment. We have arrested a person who lives at the apartment. More I will not say.”
He added that they were working on the basis that this was a “murder” scene. Officers are gathering forensic evidence and are yet to interview the person arrested. Mr Larsen added: “There was a lot of blood in the apartment, but more I can not say right now.” A massive police cordon has been erected around the buildings where the suspected killings occurred – and people are being told to stay away unless they live on the estate.
