EastEnders fans have been on a rollercoaster ride with deaths hitting the Albert Square left, right and centre. On Thursday Robbie Jackson made a horrific discovery when he discovered the remains of Dot Branning’s cat – who goes by the name Dave – lying dead in a wheelie bin. But last night Dave made a shocking return from the dead – and even tracked his owner Dot to the hospital where she’s been recovering from a nasty fall.
Just after Robbie and sister Sonia Fowler revealed that Dot’s beloved pet had been killed, the nurse popped in to break the unbelievable news. The nurse said: “Mrs Branning, security have got a black cat downstairs with your address on its tag. I’ve never known anything like this to happen before, but one of the other nurses said it happened to her once: A cat or dog misses its owner so much it finds them.”
Fans of the BBC soap couldn’t believe the bizarre turn of events and raced to Twitter in disbelief. One person wrote: “Oh Jesus this Dave and dot storyline is getting absurd. Follows her to the hospital. It’ll be travelling in the TARDIS next.” “Looks like dave must of just lost 1 out of his 8 lives so his contracts all good there,” added another. A third said: “Dave the cat made his way to the hospital? Ok then, clearly Dave has been writing this s*** too.”
