This is the moment police threatened to Taser a man during a stand-off on the top deck of a bus. Passengers were evacuated before officers confronted the man on the No 28 in Kensington Church Street shortly before 9.30pm yesterday.
Police were called to an assault on another passenger, who was taken to hospital for treatment and is in a stable condition. During the stand-off officers aimed the Taser at the alleged attacker, who reportedly continued to hurl threats, but he was detained without the need to fire the device.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “The suspect refused to co-operate with attending officers, including those armed with Taser, and continued to make threats of assault. “He was subsequently detained by police and arrested on suspicion of ABH and affray and taken to a west London police station for questioning. Taser was not fired during the incident.”
