Two people have died in a shooting in a Norfolk village. The incident this morning has seen a man and a woman die in a suspected murder suicide at the former home of ‘Lotto lout’ Mickey Carroll. Police say the pair were found at a bungalow in the village of Magdalen, just south of King’s Lynn.
The body of a man was found in the front garden of the property and the woman’s body was discovered inside. Both of the deceased are believed to be in their 40s, the police said. Some reports have suggested this morning that Carroll’s aunt Kelly had been shot dead at the home she used to live in with his uncle Stephen, but she has confirmed to the media she is alive.
Greig Dunsmuir, who lives in the village, said he heard a “loud boom” on Stow Road shortly after midnight. He added: “I heard a gunshot and some commotion, people shouting and screaming. It wasn’t drawn out – maybe three or four minutes of commotion, and that’s it.”
The East of England Ambulance Service said it was called at 00:08 BST and found two people who were declared dead at the scene.
