Actor Powers Boothe who starred in Sin City and The Avengers has died aged 68. The movie star passed away in his sleep at his home in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, his agent said.
He died of natural causes and is survived by his wife Pam of nearly 50 years and their two children. Boothe, who was born in a farm in Texas, played Senator Roark in Sin City and its sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. He also starred in The Avengers and played Gideon Malick on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. He also appeared in Deadwood and Nashville.
Actor Beau Bridges took to Twitter to pay tribute to Boothe. He wrote: “It’s with great sadness that I mourn the passing of my friend Powers Boothe. A dear friend, great actor, devoted father & husband.”
