A father has appeared in court charged with the murder of his ‘beautiful’ teenage daughter at a caravan park. Richard Kray, 63, appeared before magistrates today charged with the murder of Olivia Kray, 19, who died after a ‘serious assault’.

Kray was also charged with attempting to murder another woman at a caravan park in Herne Bay, Kent on Friday. Wearing a grey prison sweatshirt, Kray appeared via video link at Maidstone Magistrates Court today.

Jade Blackmer, who went to Hampton Primary School with Olivia, said she was a caring person. “She was the most quiet and polite young girl going,” Jade said. “She was very reserved and conscious of others, she didn’t smile often but when she did it lit up the room. It’s such a tragedy this has happened to such a young and beautiful lady.”
