Three people including a child are dead and nine others are injured after a serious car crash involving five vehicles, police have said. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the crash on the A38 near Landrake, Cornwall at 11.15am.
The youngster and a woman from one car sustained fatal injuries and were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A second child from the car suffered potentially serious head injuries and was airlifted by air ambulance to Bristol Children’s Hospital.
A male pedestrian also died at the scene after sustaining fatal injuries in the incident on the A38. Six further people were taken to Derriford Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious and two others were treated at the scene by ambulance.
