The US state of Florida has been left reeling after two trains smashed into each other in a horrific rush hour accident.
They collided in the Marion County town of Citra, which is halfway between Ocala and Gainsville, at just after 4am local time. According to reports, around 3,000 gallons of diesel has been spilled as mangled carriages flew off off the tracks.
Emergency services are currently dealing with the spillage, which poses major danger if ignited. Two men were evacuated, but are said to have refused medical treatment. Marion County Fire Department officials confirmed that miraculously no other injuries were reported.
The horror collision is causing travel chaos in the area as some pieces of train wreckage were flung onto the road. The cause of the crash is not yet clear, but an investigation by cops and the fire department has already begun.
