Brits’ Holiday Terror – Flight To Tenerife In Landing Horror As Wheels BURST

A flight from Manchester to Tenerife reached a dramatic end when the wheels burst during landing.  It’s understood the Jet2 flight, LS917, left Manchester at 9.20am this morning. Shortly after noon the plane had a terrifying landing on the Spanish holiday island.

Witnesses heard a “loud bang” as the plane landed this afternoon.  One of them, Emily Hollands, tweeted afterwards that “everything” was delayed. “F*** knows what’s just happened at Tenerife airport but I’ve heard a long bang so loud,” she wrote.

A spokesperson for the airline said: “We apologise to all the customers affected today. The safety and comfort of our customers and crew is our number one priority at all times.”
